ஆண், பெண் இருபாலாரும் தமது வாழ்க்கைத் துணையை சரியாகத் தெரிவு செய்து கொள்வதில் இல்லற வாழ்வின் வெற்றியும், மகிழ்ச்சியும் தங்கியுள்ளது. திருமணத்திற்கான அவர்களது தெரிவில் தவறுகள் விடப்படுகின்றபோது அது அவர்களது வாழ்வில் பாரிய பின்விளைவுகளை ஏற்படுத்தி விடக்கூடும். மணவாழ்வில் புரிந்துணர்வின்மை ஏற்பட்டு விவாகரத்துக் கூட ஏற்படலாம். எனினும் தம்பதியர் இருவரும் தத்தமதுகடமைகளை உணர்ந்து சரிவர நிறைவேற்றும் போது அவர்களது குடும்ப வாழ்வு செழிக்கவும், சிறந்த சந்ததிகள் உருவாகவும் வழி ஏற்படுகின்றது. எனவே ஒரு ஆண் தனக்குறிய துணையைத் தெரிவு செய்யும் போது மகிழ்ச்சியான, இல் வாழ்க்கைக்குப் பொருத்தமான பண்புகளைத்  தன்னகத்தே கொண்ட பெண்ணைத் தெரிவு செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்என மதவழிகாட்டுதல்கள் முலம் அறிவுறுத்தப்படுகின்றான். ஓர் ஆணோ, பெண்ணோ தனக்குரிய துணையைத் தெரிவு செய்யும் போது நடைமுறையில் கவனத்தில் கொள்ளும் பல அம்சங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன. அவை பணம், பதவி, குலம், கோத்திரம் , அழகு போன்றவைகளாகும். நல்ல மனைவிக்குரிய இலக்கணம், பண்புகளை பல இலக்கியங்கள் எடுத்தியம்பினாலும் திருக்குறள் மற்றும் இஸ்லாத்தினுடைய வழிகாட்டல்களை ஆராயுமிடத்து அவைகளில் பல ஒற்றுமைத் தன்மைகளை அவதானிக்கலாம். ஒரு நல்ல மனைவி எத்தகைய னுணவியல்புகளை அணிகலனாகக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் என திருக்குறள் மற்றும் இஸ்லாத்தினுடைய வழிகாட்டலிலுள்ள ஒற்றுமையை வெளிக்கொணர்வதே இவ்வாய்வின் பிரதான நோக்கமாகும். இவ்வாய்வுக்காக திருக்குறளும் அல்குர்ஆன் மற்றும் ஹதீஸ்களும் முதன்மைத்தரவுகளாகப் பயன்னடுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதோடு விவரணப்பகுப்பாய்வு முறை பிரயோகப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒப்பியல் நோக்கில் திருக்குறள் மற்றும் அல்குர்ஆனைத ஆய்வு செய்பவர்களுக்கும் மனைவியின் அணிகலன்களை அறிந்து கொள்ள எத்தணிப்பவர்களுக்கும் சமயப் போதனைகளுக்கு அமைவாக திருமணத்திற்காக எவ்வாறான பெண்ணைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க வேண்டும் என முயற்சிப்பவர்களுக்கும் இவ்வாய்வு வழிகாட்டியாக அமையும்.

Social integration is becoming prime concerned of the academics for building up social cohesion&#13;
among the multi ethnic communities in Sri Lanka in the post war arena. all the Communities Were&#13;
living with the cordial relation form ancient time through their similar religious, cultural practices&#13;
in Sri Lanka. Integration of Tamil Hindus and Sinhala Buddhist Has broken due to The ethnic&#13;
crisis. That’s why the Social integration has to be reiterated in the after the civil unrest over.&#13;
Despite the Sinhala Buddhist and Tamil Hindus have been divided as two major ethnic groups,&#13;
their marginal cultic practices bridge them as one community. Especially the cult of pattini is&#13;
bonding them together. Religious doctrine and practices are influencing on the day today life of&#13;
the public in Sri Lanka. Pattinic cult is identified as common practices among both pattern, in the&#13;
pattini worship in the east cost of Sri Lanka and other part. This research has intended to examined&#13;
the potentiality through identifying the similarities of ideology, rituals, cultic practices of pattini&#13;
worship through employing the data from the related literatures, participant observation, interview.&#13;
Eventually the research found that the pattini worship in both communities have number of&#13;
similarities. That theoretical basis of the religious doctrines and practices provide the way to the&#13;
Social integration. The research suggests that the similarities should be cultivated to the public and&#13;
make them aware and participate into the pattini worship. If do so the possibilities for integration&#13;
and social cohesion would be effective.

Universities consist of multi religious, multi - cultural and multi lingual student population,&#13;
where it is expected to have social harmony among those undergraduates. However there have&#13;
been recorded incidences and evidence to prove ethnic friction and linguistic Barriers in&#13;
sustaining harmonious atmosphere in university education. Therefore, it is understood that the&#13;
existing administrative mechanism has not improved social harmony among undergraduates of&#13;
multicultural and multi linguistic background. Eastern university is teaching social harmony in&#13;
English to have a common medium of instruction. Most of the Undergraduates who entered&#13;
the Eastern University come from rural area and poor family background and they learnt in&#13;
their mother language at the schools. Though majority of the university programmes are taught&#13;
in English, schools have their curriculum in Sinhala and Tamil. Therefore students enrolled in&#13;
to the university where their programme is in English will have trouble both in understanding&#13;
the subjects as well as in communicating with other. These students face some problems such&#13;
as transferring ideas, communication and interaction, mutual trust. Highlighting one&#13;
community culture might be perceived as threat to others. Even after teaching social harmony&#13;
at the university there are notable incidents challenges to normalcy between different students&#13;
communities. The research intends: a ) to learn how teaching social harmony contributes to&#13;
make stability in the cohesive relationship among the students in the university; b ) to learn&#13;
what are the programmes practised in the universities; C ) to learn what are the programme&#13;
undertaken in other universities; and d ) to identify the challenges to sustain the harmony&#13;
between different students communities. Undergraduate population of EUSL are of Sinhala&#13;
and Tamil in terms of language, where majority of the programme are conducted in English&#13;
except. For faculty of Arts and Culture. Social harmony programme no exception. However&#13;
informal communication is primarily done in their mother languages which might lead to&#13;
misunderstanding and therefore will widen the gap between different undergraduate&#13;
communities. Therefore more emphasis should be laid on social harmony programmes that will&#13;
bring multi ethnic students together. Cultural activities should be encouraged in addition to&#13;
teaching social harmony in class

<summary type="text">Attributes of Democratic and Resilient Leadership Style as Reflected in Bhagavad Gita

The present paper focuses to identify the salient characteristics of the democratic and&#13;
resilient leadership styles reflect in Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita is one of the worldrenowned Holy Scriptures which potentially deals with the qualities of leadership because it&#13;
has been developed in the form of conversation between the leader and the follower.&#13;
Further, to some scholarly interpretations, criticizing the norms of Bhagavad Gita as those of&#13;
autocratic and other leadership styles, contemporary leadership approaches also pay less&#13;
attention and highlights its importance demanding its holistic view of leadership as reflected&#13;
in Bhagavad Gita. Contrary, the scriptures profoundly advocate the leadership skills in a&#13;
holistic manner as the democratic and resilient leadership are very much related to the&#13;
personality of a person in terms of physical, mental and spiritual development of a person. So&#13;
that, it can be suggestive that Bhagavad Gita practically revolves around a Democratic leader&#13;
who develops leadership qualities and behaves and guides his followers in the extremely&#13;
curial situations, even in the battle-front towards success. Through the analysis to textual and&#13;
scriptural sequences, the present study enabled identifying the role of a leader as a&#13;
Negotiator, Coach and Motivator, Team Builder, Friend, Advisor, Guide and a spiritual&#13;
Mentor, This is particularly reflected in the conversation between the lord Krishna and Arjuna.&#13;
Thus, it can be concluded that Bhagavad Gita brings the characteristics of leadership through&#13;
‘’ the leader attempts to influence his or her followers to establish and accomplish a goal or&#13;
goals’’. To accomplish the goal, the leader exercises his or her power to influence people. That&#13;
power is exercised for motivating followers to get the task achieved and this is reflected in&#13;
the Gita. Personal traits of leader such as assertiveness, high tolerance in frustration,&#13;
charisma, inspirational, role model behaviour, responsibility, performance orientation, risk&#13;
taking, flexibility is also reflected in the Gita. Ultimate outcome of the study brings back the&#13;
interconnectedness of the personality traits and the characteristics of a democratic and&#13;
resilient leadership styles that are reflected through Bhagavad Gita.
