dc.description.abstract In Islamic ethical and legal frameworks, the concept of Zina (adultery/fornication) plays a crucial role in safeguarding moral stability within human society. This study examines Zina not merely as a physical act of illicit sexual intercourse, but as a broader ethical construct that includes several preliminary stages manifested through the actions of the eyes, ears, tongue, hands, feet, and heart. The primary objective of this research is to analyze how Islam identifies different forms of Zina and emphasizes a preventive ethical framework to regulate and control them. This study adopts a qualitative content analysis methodology. The Qur’an and Hadith literature serve as primary sources, supplemented by interpretative insights from classical and contemporary Islamic scholars. The analysis explores how lustful gaze, inappropriate listening, suggestive speech, unlawful physical contact, intentional movement toward immoral environments, internal desires, and ultimately physical sexual relations affect both individual morality and social purity. These stages are found to be interrelated, forming a gradual process of moral deterioration. The key finding of the study reveals that controlling the preliminary forms of Zina significantly contributes to spiritual development, preservation of the family structure, and maintenance of social cohesion. Furthermore, the study highlights that contemporary digital environments and social media platforms have intensified such ethical challenges, making awareness and self-discipline increasingly essential. Understanding the broader dimensions of Zina serves as a foundational element in Islamic moral education and provides a guiding framework for individual ethics, spiritual consciousness, and social wellbeing. en_US
