dc.description.abstract A study was carried out to evaluate the influence of ENSO at regional scales in Sri Lanka. Time series modelling analysis of temporal data reveal a teleconnective relationship between ENSO and Sri Lankan rainfall and a response delay time between the two climatic signals. This study suggests and emphasises the need for incorporation of global climatic mechanisms when evaluating local climatic trends at regional levels. en_US
