dc.description.abstract Information Communication Technology (ICT) used in Medium enterprises is rapidly expanding and becoming a more integral part of the business activity. So, the main purpose of this study is to i<lentif1' the factors influencing on adoption of ICT of medium enterprises Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. The study variables are relative advantages, compatibility, complexity" top management support, organizational culture, regulatory environment, competitive environment, owner/manager innovativeness, owner/manager ICT knowledge. The first objective of the study is to find out the level of ICT adoption among tire medium enterprises and Second objective of the study is to find out the relationship between study variables, third objective of the study is to explore the impact of study' variables, fourth objective of the study to find out the adoption of ICT variety with demographic factors and fourth objective of the study to find out adoption of ICT variety with IT experience among the medium enterprises of the Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. To achieve these objectives, the target population was considered as medium enterprises of 166 in Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. Data were collected from 145 medium enterprises by using questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive, correlation, multiple regression analyses, independent sample t-test and one way ANOVA. Correlation analysis was used to achieve this objective. Researcher identified that relative advantages, compatibility, complexity, organizational culture, regulatory environment, competitive environment, owner/manager innovativeness, owner/manager ICT knowledge have a positive and significant relationship with ICT adoption. According to the multiple regression analysis compatibility, complexity, top management support, owner/manager ICT knowledge are significantly impact on ICT adoption among the medium enterprises while relative advantages, organizational culture, regulatory environment, competitive environment, owner/manager innovativeness do not significantly ICT adoption among the medium enterprises of Eastern province, Sri Lanka. en_US
