Abstract:
Orgarizational support for career development is a programmer or process by an
orgarization for the career development of its employees, and it is also called
organizational career management policy and practice, or orgarizational career
management. As an organizational resource, empirical studies have shown that the
organizational support for career development has relationship with career satisfaction.
The study concentrates on the career development of organizational support for career
development on career satisfaction. Conceptually, this study only deals with
organizational support for career development on career satisfaction in financial sector
with special references in Trincomalee District. Mainly the researcher has used
descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and mediation analysis to
achieve the objectives ofthis research study. This research study has been conducted
using 300 employees of financial sector organization in Trincomalee district.
According to the descriptive analysis results Organizational Support, Career
Development and Career satisfaction have high level. According to correlation analysis
there were strong positive relationships among organizational support and career
development, among orgarizational support and career satisfaction and among cilreer
development and career satisfaction. Multiple regression analysis indicates that indicate
Organizational Support, Career Development significantly impact on Career
satisfaction. Furthermore, results of mediation analysis the impact of Organizational
Support on Career satisfaction is mediated by Career Development.
