This study investigates the impact of Perceived Influence and Supervisor Supportiveness
on Employees Innovative Behavior special reference on hotel industry in batticaloa
district. The hotel industry plays a crucial role in the country's economic development, but
faces challenges such as intense competition, technological disruptions. and evolving
customer expectations. ln this dynamic environment. effective leadership is essential to
motivate employees and drive high performance.
supervisor supportiveness theory suggests that leaders who articulate a compelling vision, act as role models, intellectually stimulate followers, and provide individualized consideration can inspire extraordinary performance from their subordinates. while previous research has linked supervisor supportiveness to outcomes like employees innovative behaviour, commitment and satisfaction in srilankan hotels.
This quantitative study aims to address this gap by analyzing survey data collected from
329 employees across five major classes of hotels in Batticaloa district. The independent
variables of Perceived Influence are measured through three dimensions and Supervisor
Supportiveness is measured though five dimensions. The dependent variable of employees Innovative Behavior that contribute directly to the Hotel's technical
operations, organizational environment. |
