Abstract:
This study investigates the determinants (self-efficacy, creative process
l.r engagement) of employee innovative behaviorn in telecommunication sector in
Anuradhapura District, sri Lanka. The Employees are the primary &iving force
behind industry innovaticrn. Emproyee creative behaviour, which can be
described as the act of producing, encouragins, and apprying innovative
thinking in the orgmrization for the aim of personal and organizational success
is therefore critical- The objectives of this study to identifu to the level of selfefficacy,
Creative process engagemeilt and employee innovative behaviour in
telecommunication sector, to identifu the relationship befweeir self,efficacy,
Creative process engagement and employee innovative behaviour in
telecommunication sector and to assess the impact of Serf-efficacy and creative
process engagement on employee innovative behaviour in telecommunication
sector.
ldainly the researcher has used descriptive analysis, correlation analysis,
regression anarysis to achieve the objectives of this research sfudy. Data were
collected using a structured questionnaire from a sample af l7g employees
telecommunication sector {Dialog Axiata and sri Lanka Telecom) selected
through sfratified sampling method. correlation anarysis showed strong to very
strong positive relationships between the independent variables and employee
Innovative behaviuor, while multipre regression analysis confirmed the
significant positive effects of these factors on einployee innovative behaviour.
The limitations of the study, such as smrple size and the focus on a specific set
of factors, should be considered when interpreting and applying the findings.
