Abstract:
This study investigated the level of Transformational Leadership (TL), Employee
Creativity (EC), and Emotional Labour and mediation influence of Emotional Labour
(EL) to relationship among Transformational Leadership, and Employee Creativity.
Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze existing level of Transformational
Leadership, Employee Creativity, and Emotional Labour and examine how
Transformational Leadership styles influence Employee Creativity in Insurance
Companies in Ratnapura District. In concentrated on Transformational Leadership
related to Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellec-tual Stimulation, And
Individualized Consideration. Structured questionnaire was used as the method of data
collection and 164 employees working in insurance companies selected as sample out
of 286 employees in insurance companies.
The findings of the study are expected to contribute to the existing literature on
Transformational leadership and its impact on Employee Creativity and the mediation
effects of Emotional Labour on the relationship between transformational Leadership
and Employee Creativity in the insurance companies in Rathnapura District. The results
of the study will provide insights to employees and leaders of insurance companies and
policymakers on the importance of Transformational Leadership in improving
Employee Creativity in the specific context of the Rathnapura District. Furthermore, the
study will provide a framework for future research on the same topic in different
regions.
Overall, the study will help to enhance my understanding of the role of
Transformational Leadership in the insurance companies in Ratnapura District and its
impact on Employee Creativity and the mediating role ofEmotional Labour. The results
of this study will have important implications for the development of effective
Leadership practices in the insurance sector in the Rathnapura District and potentially in
other regions as well.
